Our services are provided in Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Abilene and all surrounding areas. Our shelters are manufactured by Smart Shelters Inc in Oklahoma City. Their patent pending shelter design allows most vehicles to remain parked over it while providing your family with a quick and safe place to ride out any life threatening storm. The lid design has been impact tested by Texas Tech Wind Science & Research Center and given a "pass" rating. The materials used to construct each shelter and safe room exceed the stringent standards dictated by FEMA and the ICC 500.

Steel In-Ground Shelters

All of our shelters are constructed of the following:

 

  • 10 guage steel walls

  • 1/4" steel lids

  • Outer leak and corrosion protection with Quartz-epoxy. Far exceeds anything used in the market today!

  • Removable handrail, adjustable stairs and carpeted benches.

  • Back lids are removable in an emergency.

  • Front lid is auto-launching and lockable with a key on the outside.

  • Over 120" of entry air breathing space.

  • All underground shelters carry a limited lifetime, transferable warranty against leaking or floating.

  • All flush models have filtered, forced-air, battery-operated ventilation and lighting.

  • Lockable outer lid for valuables.

  • Exceed FEMA guidelines.

  • Carry engineer's seal of approval.

  • Medium and large units are filled to engineers spec in 3,000 psi reinforced concrete to prevent floating.
